I discovered a website that has Van Gogh oil painting reproductions. I was just amazed when I went to the site. I have these big posters of some of the original paintings by different painting masters. My favorite is Claude Monet. I like some Van Gogh works too. My second favorite is probably Auguste Renoir. I found paintings by all of them. Even some works that I had forgotten about when I studies art history. I always wanted to own an original. I know that is impossible on my salary. The next best thing for me was to get a poster print and maybe get to see some originals if I take a vacation to where the museums are. So far after many years, I have only been to the local museum and have seen only a few paintings of the original masters. Now I get to own a real reproduction painted on canvas with real paints. The reproduction artists study the methods and materials of the original masters and recreate them. Now I am a collector of reproductions.
